Enterprise Class Servers

Experience the Power and Reliability of High Performance Hardware
With Enterprise Solutions from Liquid Web

Mission critical systems require enterprise class hardware and redundant infrastructure to prevent any single component from causing downtime. In the rare case where there is downtime, Enterprise customers need to be able to access their hardware as if they are standing right next to it. This is why we have developed “Liquid Web Enterprise Class Servers” with support for Power Options with multiple redundancy and Out of Band Server Management with IPMI.

Liquid Web Enterprise Servers - Power Options with multiple redundancy

  • Dual Power Supply Redundancy
  • A/B Power (Different Circuits)
  • A/B Power With Multiple UPS Units (2N Redundancy)

Dual Power Supply Redundancy

Liquid Web Enterprise Servers offer the option of redundant or dual power supplies, so that in the event of one power supply failing, one or more independent power supplies are able to power the server. This is important for mission critical applications because each power supply is capable of powering the entire server by itself.

A/B Power

For customers that require additional redundancy, server reliability is further enhanced by plugging each power supply into a different circuit breaker. This redundant protection can be extended further yet by connecting each power supply to its own Uninterruptible Power Supply/ Battery Backup unit. This provides double protection from both a power supply failure and a UPS failure, so that continued operation is assured. This configuration is also referred to as 1+1 or 2N redundancy.

Benefits Of Power Options with multiple redundancy

  • Enhanced Redundancy
    • - Prevents against server outage in event of Power Supply failure
    • - Uses Separate circuits to prevent against single point of failure
    • - Redundant UPS units to protect against battery failure causing server outage
  • Increased Reliability
  • Long-Term Hardware Durability

Out of Band & Remote Server Management:
Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI)

Imagine the ability to immediately access your server remotely as if you were in the same room with it, whether the machine is powered on or not. This is a reality with Liquid Web's Enterprise servers! Out of band management is handled via baseboard controllers and an independent network connection that will allow you to have full control of your server even when primary networking equipment is unusable. Remote Management gives you the full range of control over your server that a mission critical environment demands such as, remote reboot, shutdown, powering on, hardware sensor monitoring, video output to a remote terminal and remote input from keyboard and mouse. In addition to the unprecedented power IPMI gives you over your server, you will also be able to access local media drives, install operating systems and access BIOS Settings. Liquid Web's IPMI remote server management is superior to Virtual Network Computing (VNC) as well as Secure Shell (SSH) because it works without software having to be installed on the remote system and it provides premium control over your hardware. Your important data deserves industry leading oversight. Let Liquid Web keep you connected with IPMI remote management!

Benefits of IPMI:

  • Remote Access, Monitoring and Logging
  • Standard Interface for Extending Management and Usage
  • Operational Across All Platforms and Configurations
  • Speeds Up Changes to Interface
  • Added Efficiency With Remote Scaling Capabilities
  • Out of Band Management

Remote Management (IPMI) Enables:

  • Remote Reboot
  • Server Shutdown
  • Powering On
  • Hardware Sensor Monitoring
  • Video Output to Remote Terminal
  • Remote Input via Keyboard & Mouse
